Christ Yeshua Brisbane Tamil Church’s faith statements are based on 18 bible based faith Doctrines which explains our beliefs and values

1. We believe in ETERNAL GODHEAD, the unity of the true and living God who is the eternal, self-existent one, who has revealed himself as one being in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and who is the Creator and the king. (Corinthians 13:14)

2. We believe in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the eternal Son of God; that he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary (John 1:14-18)
3. We Believe in the HOLY SPIRIT, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with spiritual evidence and the work of convicting, transforming the life, and sanctifying and guiding the saved souls. (Act 8:14-17)

4. We believe in THE CREATION, in the beginning God created heavens and the earth, all creatures including man, visible and invisible, thrones or dominion, principalities, or powers, all things were created by God. (Genesis 1:1, 2:1)

5. We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the HOLY SCRIPTURES, namely the Old and New Testaments as originally given (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

6. We believe that the DEVIL, the fallen angels, who is the cause of downfall of man by his influence and who deceives and destroy the faith of children of God. (John 8:44) and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels (Revelation 20:14-15).

7. We believe in RESURRECTION of the Lord Jesus Christ, shed His blood, died on the cross for our sin, was buried and rose again on the third day from death (Romans 4:25)

8. We believe THE SALVATION OF MAN is received by grace, only through repentance acceptance of Lord Jesus Christ in their heart by which we obtain remission of sin. (Romans 10:9-10)

9. We believe THE CHURCH is the body of Christ, individual living believers who has different roles that God gave to specific believers for the purpose of perfecting or training, doing the work of the ministry, and strengthening of the church body (Ephesians 4:11-14)

10. We believe in the necessity of WATER BAPTISM, by single immersion into water, in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, it is an obedient act every believer should do who have repented and have believed in Christ as Saviour and Lord, a symbolic act whereby a new Christian identifies with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection which signifies as a new creation (Romans 6:4)

11. We believe COMMUNION consist of elements of bread and fruit vine. As often as eat this bread and drink this cup we proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Therefore, whoever eats this bread or drink unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. (1 Corinthians 11:23-32)

12. We Believe in SANCTIFICATION, it is an act of purification and separation from world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God and submission unto God. (1 Corinthians 6:11, 2 Corinthians 7:1)

13. We believe THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is an empowering for service that takes place in the life of the Christian (Acts 1:5,8)

14. We believe THE POWERFUL GIFTS OF HOLY SPIRIT is the operation of nine (The Word of Knowledge, The Word of Wisdom, The Gift of Prophecy, The Gift of Faith, The Gifts of Healings – divine healing, The Working of Miracles, The Discerning of Spirits, Different Kinds of Tongues, The Interpretation of Tongues) supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit as manifested in early church. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)

15. We believe in THE RAPTURE which is the secret coming of the Lord and transformation of His people. (1 Thessalonians 4:17-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51–58)

16. We believe in THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST, when Jesus Christ will return to earth in fulfillment of His promises and to gather His people unto Himself to dwell in eternity. (Mathew 24:30, Revelation 19:11-12)

17. We believe in the ETERNAL LIFE FOR BELIVERS and ETERNAL TORMENT for the unbelievers who wilfully reject Christ love and lives sinful, wicked life and serve devil. (John 5:24; 3:16, Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:10-15)

18. We believe THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH, according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. His Millennial kingdom – the thousand-year reign on the earth. After Millennium God will make all things new, the new heavens and new earth as was prophesied by Isaiah. (Rev.21:1,2,5)
